Nobody Cares About DocuSign
Is anyone really interested in DOCU stock? The hope of smart buyers at present is, no. Too boring, too much heat from Adobe, too much drama elsewhere. Will Silicon Valley Bank open up local fault lines? Will bears triumph as capitalism is finally conquered from within, live on Twitter? What's for dinner? All these questions are more interesting than, what did DOCU print yesterday. Really. We, for instance, cover the stock and own it in staff personal accounts. And as you know we have the house ability to talk stock blarney literally all day and night, every day. And night. But even here at Cestrian Towers we can hardly summon the requisite ATP to get this note out the door. So we imagine normalfolk feel even less moved to look at the thing.

Back in a moment. Something more interesting to do. Office kettle could do with de-scaling. And we have to get on to GoToWebinar support about our apparently blurry YouTube videos. All these things have more motivational appeal than writing up DOCU.
But you pay us the bucks and we owe you the work, so let's get to it. The kettle will have to wait. As will the grue.
Numbers, valuation and chart follow. The key thing at DOCU is that there is a quiet revolution at play. The suits are taking over and the hobbyists are being shown the door. Corporate change here will hopefully follow what you've seen at PINS, FSLY, SPLK and others. Chattering classes invited - nay told - to spend more time with their families. Corporate soldiers brought into the building under orders to get the job done. With just enough fuel to make it to the crash site (thankyou @niksurfs).
This won't happen quickly but most likely there is a lot of wood to be chopped - dead wood that is - in anticipation of a sale of the company. Look for more executive departures, office closures, price increases, weaselly changes to customer contracts, extensive untheater on earnings calls, etc. Then look for a local barbarian to come shopping and then maybe MSFT or ADBE or CRM to throw their hats in the ring too.
Numbers, valuation and charting follows for our Premium and Pro subscribers. Sign up here if you’re yet to join the growing throng!
