The Curse Of Experience
When you've been around the block a couple times, investing can be frustrating. Trends that look clear to you may not look clear to the market at large; or, they may not matter to the market at large because you are barking up the wrong tree. And this is why ultimately the only thing that matters in public stock investing and trading is the stock price.
Palo Alto Networks PANW 0.00%↑ is an example of a company we hold in decidedly middling regard. Dress the thing up how you will, it is at its core a hardware business in a sector being eaten by software. In addition, revenue growth is declining these last three quarters. Those two factors alone are big flashing red warning signs as regards a long-term hold of this stock.
